Export to XML format

Post by Eddie_Marshall » Tue Nov 05, 2002 9:05 am

Some potential clients have a requiremnt to export data to XML using R&R. The UK Goverment has established XML as the common format for information sharing between databases operated by Local Goverment. It would be a requirement to export data to XML. Are there plans to incorporate this capability in R&R? If so, what might the timescale be?____Thanks.____Eddie Marshall__Technical Support Manager__LandMaster__eddie@landmaster.co.uk

You can currently get XML output by exporting to text with file extension and then adding your own XML tags around the data elements.__A bit of work but it does indeed work.____Kathleen__R&R Support

That would be fine for developers but not for our ^normal^ users. Is there any chance of getting a customised export that wold need little or no manipulation. It would be very much appreciated.____Eddie

With the upcoming interim release version of R&R (10.x), we^ve modified the Resultset Browser to include an XML format in the "save as" dialog.
