Filters using UK format dates

With the new entry form for dates in R&R10, we have to enter dates in filters in American format (MM DD YY)- could this be anglicised (dependant on regional settings) so that we can enter dates in our normal UK date format (DD MM YY)?____Also, with datetime filters, could the time part not default to all zeros - currently it is necessary to select the hours, mins & am/pm from the drop downs every time, even if the time portion is irrelevant in this particular case.

This same issue is causing us and out customers grief in Australia with the same format dates. Will there be a release/fix for this soon?
