Calculated & Total Field Names

I am a programmer from way back and using heavily abbreviated field names is not a real problem for me. But I have noticed our younger developers ABSOLUTELY HATE IT. They want to give very descriptive names to their Calculated and Total fields. I had never really given it much thought, until I had to edit one of their reports (not done in R&R) and WOW I very quickly learned their strategy for the report just by reading the variable names.____Longer variable names would be really great in RnR.____No more PrmCLabMrk but rather PrimeContractorLaborMarkup (mutiply this by a hundred or so fields and you get my point) This example is a little extreme but you get the point.____
