Post by Tommy » Tue May 27, 2003 10:48 am

I have inserted two fields into a blank report file. For example__field1 field2 (TowerRoadkowloon). Two fields was compressed together after using the tool of TRIM. Please advise how to seperate the fields to ( Tower Road Kowloon ) by also using TRIM. For information my soft ware is R&R dBase Versin 6.5.

Select the format of each field to print at current position rather than print at end of previous field.____Kathleen__R&R Support

>Select the format of each field to print at current position __>rather than print at end of previous field. __>__>Kathleen __>R&R Support __ __ Kathleen,__ __ Many thanks to your valuable messages. I have try your suggestion, but it is unsuccessful. On my previous record, I notice that there is dot between two fields. Then, the character would not cmpress together. For your information, I list the field display.__FIELD1 . FIELD2 If the dot is cut , the character betweeen the two fields would compresse together. The display of PROPTERTIES shows as follows: ____ Aligment : left____ Font : Times New Roman____ Format : " "____ __ Trim : To print at current position________Please suggest the function two colon on format.________ Yours faithfully,__ Tommy__

Make sure that the dot text field and that FIELD2 are all set to print at current position if you do not want to compress them together.____Kathleen__R&R Support
