Parameter passing

Hi Gurus,____I am a new report developer in R&R. I just created a report in report wizard but I cannot find how to pass a parameter to the report? I found some information on the forum regarding parameter passing in R&R but how do we reach control...if you can please give me the steps from the start to pass the parameter.____Thanks,__Neeti
