Anyone trying to use R&R with Quickbooks Pro 2001 or 2002???__At present, I have to export a QB report to excel and then to foxpro to then create or run an R&R report. This is a lot of extra work compared to R&R just being able to read the Quickbooks raw data. __I^ve requested the Liveware people to include Quickbooks in their list of applications that R&R can read, but no luck yet. If anyone else would like Liveware to add that ability or enhancement, please email them.__Thanks,__Warren

If you use the QuickBooks Pro 2002 Premier version, my understanding is that the data is now accessible so you can make R&R reports directly. At last! Their "reports" are so bad.

There^s also a company in England that makes an ODBC driver for QB.

I checked on the internet and found the ODBC drivers for Quickbooks!____www.hcit.co.uk____called ^Linkbook^ - version 9.06 - Prior to R&R Report Writer 10.0, which now includes both SQL and Xbase Editions, then you will have to have the SQL edition in order to access quickbooks thru ODBC driver, or better yet upgrade your R&R today!____Jeffrey S. Has anyone used this Linbook ODBC driver. Why is it only available from the United Kingdom???__Why can^t R&R furnish this, even if it cost extra, I think there is a market out there to enable R&R to read Quickbooks data file, but we need to know it works. Then I would upgrade to ver. 10 immediately.__Has anyone used R&R directly on Quickbooks Premier?? Thanks.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jan-16-03 AT 03:17 PM (EST)]To bundle additional ODBC drivers with R&R would not be as cost effective as having users independently obtain the driver that they need for their system.__The Linkbook driver vendor is in the UK but does ship worldwide.__You can thus do your part to bolster the British economy.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Kathleen,____Interesting, I just tried a evaluation copy of the LinkBook OBCD connection to Quickbooks Pro 2002.__On an instant report, some tables report out of R&R Version 10 perfectly, while on others I^m getting the following error "DB access: Unexpected text at end of SQL query: ^Names^.__The field names show up fine in the editor. The error occurs when previewing the report.____Can you tell what this error means?____Thanks...__Chuck

Actually, I gave up on this ODBC dll and tried another... "QODBC".__It seems to better integrate with the front-end language I^m using.__Thanks,__Chuck Gardner______
