Unable to read report data file

Over the years we've worked with or supplied a variety of utilities. As questions about RattleRR, RapidRunner, PDFeXPLODE, pdfEburst, converter, librarian, data dictionary, Amyuni, etc.

Post by Eddie_Marshall » Fri May 10, 2002 9:13 am

I have been trying to run the RattleRR demo on your website. Every time I try to run a report I get the message ^Unable to read report data file^.____Is this just me or is something more fundemental. Any help you could give would be appreciated.____Eddie Marshall__Support Supervisor__LandMaster__eddie@landmaster.co.uk

I am using IE6 and I was trying to run the Employee Records reports. I tried a couple of them and they have all given me the same error.____Eddie

Were you prompted to download to control?__You can try deleting any existing local copy to force a new one to be loaded. I have used Win98, NT and XP machines but not a 2000 but in theory it should work equally well there.____Kathleen__R&R Support

What URL are you using? Apparently there was a configuration problem on one server so they switched the app to a second server.____http://146.145.218.134/rr-rept/rr-pages/xpdstartpage.htm____is the link to the good server.____Kathleen__R&R Support

This might be the same problem that I have distributing R&R reports activeX control in an HTML document. You get that error if the user is behind a proxy. As a work around I have to install winsock proxy to make it works.____-Ignatius Dharma-
