Cannot match printer or port in

Post by Rick_Johnson_(Guest) » Mon Apr 03, 2006 10:43 am

For two years I have run reports from a control table with these settings:__RI_WPTR = R&R PDF Export__RI_Wport = LPT1:__RI_Outfile = a valid name__I have in the Defaults section of RRW.ini Librarian = Off and PDFDRIVER=0____Inow get error: Cannot match printer or port in control file____Since I last ran the reports, I have installed R&R Infinity. So I suspect this install changed something. I am still running the reports under 10+. ____Thanks in advance as I know you will know how to help me get my reports running again.

Additional information just discovered. ____The message is correct. ____I just went to the designer and when I try to print, the R&R PDF Export printer is not in the list of available parameters. ____So, the questions is how to get my R&R PDG Expoet printer back into the list of printers for Designer and Runtime. ____Thanks, __Rick Johnson.

The PDFDRIVER=0 line in the INI disables R&R^s install of the PDFDriver on startup.____So you need to use the INSTALL program that is on the R&R CD in the PDFFILES folder to install the driver manually if you want to leave the PDFDRIVER line in the INI.____When R&R installs the driver it takes addtional time to do so each time that the program is invoked.____Kathleen__R&R Support
