R&R Report Viewer crashes

Post by Brian_(Guest) » Tue Jul 10, 2007 7:28 pm

Hello,____We have a problem on one of our Windows XP machines. When we preview certain reports an error is returned with R&R Report Viewer XBase Edition has encountered a problem and needs to close. The usual report this to Microsoft option as well. After we chose "Don^t Send". We will see the prevew screen and then sometimes a "Low Memory Condition" window will pop up with the options to either "Pause Print Preview" or "Terminate Preview Process" At the top of this window, the message "Insufficient memory to continue Print Preview" appears. ____This problem only affects certain reports and just started. We have uninstalled and reinstall the software and terminated any processes that are running the background(i.e. anti-virus, etc). Has anyone seen this message before?____Thank you,____Brian__

This is a generic kind of error message that could be caused by many things.____What version of R&R are you using?__Does the problem occur if you double click execute rrwrun.exe and then select the report?____Kathleen__R&R Support

Kathleen,____Thanks for your reply. We found out that it was the Microsoft Language bar that was causing our problem. We recently installed different langauage types and this bar was installed as well. Once we closed this bar, our reporting problem went away. ____- Brian

Wow! ____This is the most promising resolution that I have heard yet to the mysterious memory type crashes of the Report Viewer runtime and the V 12 Report Designer.____In your environment or a typical user envirnoment, how does it get installed and how did you get rid of it?
