Runtime parameter passing-SQL

Post by Cliff_Wiernik » Tue Sep 11, 2007 6:24 pm

I currently use the Infinity DBF version. I have the need to use the SQL version for some purposes. For the dbf version, I have the standard RR fields plus additional fields I put in the rrunin.dbf file and then incorporate into queries, calculated fields, etc.____I see the sample rswrunin.txt file. Obviously, it does not have ri_hiscope and ri_loscope fields as this is a part of the filter process in SQL.____If I added additional fields, how to I get them incorporated into a filter or do I just supply the entire filter in the rswrunin.txt file.____Could you explain this in a little detail or point me to the correct area in the manual. I did not really see this in the help files that I looked at or maybe I just missed them.____My goal is the following. The report has the joins defined and only needs the filter to limit the selections to the desired subset/cursor.____Thanks.

I forgot to ask, is their a better way to control the runtime then with the rwsrunin.txt file. Again, with the DBF version, I used the rrunin.dbf file and shelling to the rrwrun.exe file.____Thanks.
