Print Control Logic

Post by Bob_Lantz_(Guest) » Tue Oct 02, 2007 8:42 am

I have R&R 12 running under Windows XP and have started to have a problem with the print logic function. When I assign a line to Print-when-True and then select a different line and have it Print-when-false, then it changes the first one to print-when-false. When any band line^s properties are adjusted to be different (print when true or false) it adjusts the others that are assigned a print logic to match it. The two lines can be adjacent to each other in the same type of band line, separated from each other, or in completely different types of band lines. ____I^ve also tested the field I^m using to control the printing and it is a logical (true/false) field that is producing a valid result for each record.____Any suggestions?

I think that what you are seeing is a bug but not quite as you described.____When you first set a logic condition, R&R honors the current true/false radio button.____But when you edit a line that has an existing condition, R&R sets the radio button to the last selected value rather than the pre-existing value.____So if you set line 1 as print when true, then set line 2 as print when false, if you go back and edit line 1, the button defaults to false. If you exit the dialog using OK, then the line 1 condition has changed from true to false.____I am going to re-test the report you sent to me to verify that the explanation above is indeed the current bug behavior.____Kathleen__R&R Support

So, have you tested your theory and come up with a solution for this issue?

I did verify that the misbehavior is as I described above. So you just need to take care when editing band lines that you get the desired result.____Kathleen__R&R Support
