PDF files with V12.5

Post by Cliff__Wiernik_(Guest) » Mon Oct 27, 2008 9:49 am

I posted my message over the weekend. I do not see it yet. What needs to be done so that you can print automated PDF^s via the runtime now that you do not include the AMYUNI driver and the documentation does not specify a different methodology for printing PDF forms. We cannot use other drivers without the ability to automatically, via the runtime control file features, specify the file name.____What are the exact steps now to programatically create PDF files via version 12.5.____Cliff Wiernik.

If you purchase the latest Amyuni driver from Amyuni you can use the same RI_WPTR/RI_OUTFILE combination. You can download a free trial from the Amyuni website to verify that it indeed works.__I have successfully used their trial on my Vista machine along with V12.5.____If you are using another driver, then the output produced by R&R will likely be in postscript format rather than PDF and you would need to take the extra step of converting from PS to PDF.____Kathleen__R&R Support

So are you saying that the existing AMYUNI driver, with its issues regarding vista and Windows Server 2003, will also work with v12.5. Thus, if we are still using XP, the existing setup will still work.____Is that correct?

Correct. If your app worked on Vista will an earlier version of R&R, moving to 12.5 should not be an issue.__12.5 will still allow you to use an existing Amyuni driver, it simply does not include one during the install.____Kathleen__R&R Support

I have the same question as the Amyuni program appears to require a license key. How can we get the license key automatically sent from RRW to the amyuni driver.
