Printing via Citrix

Post by Charles_(Guest) » Thu May 30, 2002 12:45 pm

It seems that the run time is not executing when printing. The Viewer never generates an output. What files are needed and where should they go. ____We are running on Citrix Metaframe 1.8 Win NT4.0 R&R Ver. 9

No, we^re not able to preview reports. When a report is attempted, we don^t see the usual activity - it just seems to ignore us.____We are attempting to resolve some network bandwidth issues, and that^s why we^ve moved the app to a Citrix server. The data files are on the main application server.____What files have to be on the Citrix server for R&R to be configured properly. We did a runtime install on the Citrix server.

We did the same thing with Citrix and R&R 6.5, later R&R 9. We were calling RRWRUN.EXE from Foxpro for Windows using the RUN command. I found that if I had a status file argument on the command line and the system could not create that file for any reason, nothing happened - no error, no report. For example____RUN /N P: rw rwrun m:projtrak 32 /oc: empSBOUNDBK____If there is no C:TEMP folder, it would quietly do nothing.____This may be the type of thing you^re looking for.____

Thanks for the tip. I will have to talk to the contract programmer to find out what she may have done, but I do know that there is not a temp directory on the Citrix server.____Anyone else have specific advice on what files are needed on the citrix server?____Thanks!
