Exporting to RTF files

Post by alaggio » Wed Jul 17, 2002 12:45 pm

Kathleen,__From within the report designer I select Export - Rich Text Format.__Then I saved the output file in my c: emp directory.__When I open this file with WordPad, fields don^t appear in the same position as they are in the report. All the report format is missed.__Using MS-Word works fine. The problem is that my users DON^T have MS-WORD, only WordPad, wich is installed with Windows.__How can I solve this problem ?____

It may be that word pad does not intepret all of the RTF coding that is in the file where Word can.__Nothing that you can change from the R&R side however other than re-formatting the report.__Or alternatively printing the report to PDF since a PDF file does indeed retain formatting.____Kathleen__R&R Support
