RR Automation
Hello there. I^m trying to automate some reports, and am having difficulty getting it to work the way that I want. I^m using RR 9 and windows task scheduler to do it. What I want to do is have diffrent reports run automaticaly at night. Some everynight, others occationaly. I can obviously get Rapid Runner to pop up using task schuduler, but it doesn^t incorporate a way for me to make the report set actualy run. ____Example...I want to run a report every Tuesday at 2am. ____Thanks for your help. ____rlittle@seaboardusa.com

I am sure that there must be another way, but I would be using RUNTIME to do this. I would set up the runtime files and then use the scheduler to execute the runtime commands. I know this works, but then almost everything I do is with runtime reports that I have deployed.____Rick Johnson

The trick to doing this from Windows task scheduler is to use the "run" switch. ____<path to RapidRun.exe> <path to report set> /run____See Rapid Runner Help "Running Reports" for more information____Jerry Porter

Try creating shortcuts. I have about 50 reports running during the night without any problem using the Windows scheduler. Quick and simple. Easily created and the scheduler can be set to notify you if it does not run.____I also schedule them to run at the same time without any problems.
