Code page

Post by johncawley » Tue Jun 26, 2001 6:03 am

I^ve just bought some copies of R&R Xbase 9.0 to upgrade some reports created in R&R 6.5.08. We^ve run into a problem with the way R&R handles code pages. The original database tables were foxpro 2.5. R&R 9.0 seems unable to interpret the British pound sign (and presumably other characters) that are in the text fields of the database tables. If the pound sign is hard coded into the report it displays fine but displays a weird control character in the database fields where the pound sign occurs.____I assume there must be a work around for this or the product wouldn^t be on sale in the UK. Any ideas anyone?____Regards____John Cawley__Schlumberger Sema

Edit the file RRW.SRT and remove the semicolon from the start of the line that says:____;DBCHARS=ANSI____This should allow for correct printing.____Kathleen__R&R Support____

Kathleen__R&R Support____Many thanks for your fast response. A final question - when we ship the final product, I presume we also ship this file and it should reside in the same directory as the rrwrun.exe runtime file?____Regards,____John Cawley__Schlumberger Sema
