"Report is being used"....error

I^m running R&R 9.0 on a Windows 2000 machine. Each time I open a report saved on my network drive, I receive a message indicating "RRW is being used. Do you want to make a copy?" dialogue box. This occurs on all network housed reports regardless of whether they are actually being used or not. It does not occurred on reports saved to my local hard drive.____Can you please help me solve this mystery?____Thank you.__

One other wrinkle: The error does *not* occur when I open a report by clicking its icon in Windows, only when I use the File/Open dialogue from within R&R.

This one has been reported by a few users however we have yet to reproduce it in house.__Does it happen to you every time?____Kathleen__R&R Support

Yes, within those specific circumstances, it will always report that the report is being used.
