Table extensions & ODBC

Post by John_Hand_(Guest) » Thu Sep 18, 2003 7:58 pm

We have upgraded from Arpeggio to R&R10v10 build 1.003.__Opening existing reports is fine but trying to create a new report the Master Table dialogue box appends incorrect table extensions to the names of our Brieve tables.____eg "Member" table becomes "^Member.dta^"____Our table extensions are ^.dat^ and hence we cannot create new reports. We use the Merant 3.6 Btrieve ODBC driver.____How can I get around this problem? Is there somewhere in the RSWSQL.ini file we can change"__We have a Merant section which includes:__[Merant]__DataSourceDBMS= BTRIEVE__DataSourceDriver= IVBTR15.DLL__....______Cheers,____John.________

I just noticed that not all the error message I typed in is shown in the reply. After DB access it should say "(Merant)(ODBC Btrieve Driver)" in square brackets - There must be a problem with squeare brackets in these messages.____Thanks.

I fixed it by putting SetFileExt= 0.
