File error (100) writing report

Post by Morris_Evans_(Guest) » Tue Jul 17, 2001 4:09 am

This error occurs trying to save / save as to an RP5 using R&R 6.508. Client PCs are Win98/W2k, against a Novell Netware server. ____The only guess I have is that the standard error code 100 translates to TOO MANY SEMAPHORES, which I dont quite follow anyway.____Any ideas ?

This problem generally means that your report library has become too fragmented (due to lots of saves and deletes).____Try creating a new library and then copying all of your reports from the "bad" library to the new library. Then delete the old file, rename the new file to the name of the old file and you should be back in business with a clean non-fragmented report library.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Seems to have been a corrupt library - Ive been able to copy most of the reports out to a new library ok.
