IT Services____Using RRW10+ runtime and control dbf that contains RI_WPTR=R&R PDF Export and RI_OUTFILE=pathfile.pdf which automatically saves pdf file as specified. However, wondering if able to pass current date in format MMDDYY as pathfile_MMDDYY.pdf either automatically or prompt user to enter MMDDYY value at runtime?____Thank you for any help in advance!__IT Services

If you do not mind using a DBF control file, you could create a report whose output is a DBF file and create calculated fields for each of the control file fields. This way the RI_OUTFILE name becomes a calculated field based on the system date.____You then run two reports, the first creates the control file and the second runs the report using the control file.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Thanks, I will try this. Also as a side note, we had just upgraded the Win98 PC to Adobe 6.0 when error happened. But when using same control dbf with RI_WPTR=R&R PDF Export and WinXP, the output file did not get written. With additional testing, I discovered that if I removed the comma from the file name the output file was written. Has anyone encountered this?____Thanks for any help in advance!__IT Services
