Parameter Field in SP05

After install SPO5, how can I create parameter field that lookup some table. ____For example: in item revenue report , I want to create a parameter field that lookup revenue center table and popup the location id, name.____Thks in advance.____Toto

When you create the parameteRR, on the Value tab click the Define Validation checkbox at the lower right and then select the Dynamic radio button.__The go to the Validation tab to select the validation table and field.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Yes, I tried and find out that they accept only dbf file. How can we lookup to the ODBC driver that related on that connection ? For example, I use datadirect paradox driver. So all my table is paradox table. It would be great if we can lookup on our own table.____Toto

It is indeed only DBF. You would need to export your data to DBF format to use it as a lookup.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Do you have any plan to add this feature in next release version ?____Because it^s quite difficult to export data to DBF first and it would be really pratical if we can read it directly from our table ?____Toto__

R&R allows you to easily create DBF exports.____Kathleen__R&R Support
