RRW.EXE error

Post by Eddie_Marshall » Tue Nov 22, 2005 5:25 am

Several users of R&R Versions 9 and 10 (both fully patched) are getting the message ^RRW.EXE has encountered an error and will have to close^ when they try to print a report. The message comes up when they click OK to send the print. Previous advice suggested clicking on the Properties button after selecting the printer and then clicking OK to this and then OK again to print. This does work. However, I wondered if there is anything we can do to stop this happening without doing the above.____Thanks for any halp you can give.____Eddie Marshall__LandMaster

You can additionally remove the PDF printer driver by renaming the file CDINTF.DLL and see if that helps.____Kathleen__R&R Support

I think this has already been done but I will check.

I have now checked and we have alreday removed this file. Is there anything else that may cause this.

You may then need to try the latest V11 release or use the Properties button.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Hi, I was just curious about this as we have been having the same problem using version 8.0 of R&R. ____We have been using a similar workaround to what you suggest Kathleen (that works most of the time) but by the looks of your last answer are you suggesting that this problem has been fixed for good in V11 (and also V12)?____Jay

We think that we have fixed it however the fix was really a byproduct of a change that was made rather than an explicit find/fix of the actual problem.____Kathleen__R&R Support
