Exporting reports

Post by Larry_Hairston_(Guest) » Wed Jul 12, 2006 3:55 pm

I have been using version 9.0 for years to burst a report and send pages as attachments to emails in the rich text format. ____About half of the recipients are unable to open the attachments. Some say they appear as a .dat file. ____If I send a copy to my own email, I have no problem opening the .rtf format. I am using MS Office Word 2003.____I have tried to work with some of the recipients to be sure their Word software would open a .rtf file, but usually without success.____Can you offer any suggestions? Is there a way to sent the reports as a PDF? Is there another format that I could try? I have tried the HTML format, but I lose the formatting of the report.____Thanks.

I have heard of the problem but do not konw the solution other than to say that since it is only some mail clients that see the problem, the solution may be a configuration problem on their side.____Kathleen__R&R Support
