Exporting to PDF

Post by alaggio » Tue Nov 05, 2002 10:45 am

Kathleen,____I am trying to generate PDF files using the runtime (rrwrun). I use version 9.0, under Windows 98 and XP. __I set up the parameters in the control file as this:__ __ri_printer = ^^__ri_wptr = ^r&r pdf export^__ri_wport = ^r&r pdf export^__ri_outfile = ^c: est.pdf^ __ __This works fine only if the designer is running, since it creates the pdf print driver with the others printers installed.__But when I close the report designer, the r&r pdf export is deleted from the printers list, wich causes the rrwrun to generate the following error message:__ cannot match print or port in control file __Of course, the printer driver isn^t there anymore.__ __Is there a way of solving this problem? ____Thank you.__

RRWRUN makes the same call as does RRW to install the PDF driver so in theory it should work. Are you running runtime on the same machine and in the same directory as the report designer?______Kathleen__R&R Support

Kathleen,______thank you very much!!!__Your question gave me the answer I needed.__I was calling rrwrun from a folder where there weren^t all the dll^s installed in the RRwrun folder. I copied all the dll and it worked fine, in win98 and XP.__:)__Best regards,____
