Generic Printer Driver
__I have a number of reports designed to run on a dot matrix printer. When printing using the Generic driver the report advances one line too few when printing multiple pages (8 1/2 x 11). This appears to be a problem with Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Tried using R&R 6.5, 8.1, & 9.0x. Can anyone tell me what could be causing this problem? We have quite a few customers upgrading to W2K and XP and they are accustomed to using the Generic driver on their dot matrix printers. ____Also, reports created with the Generic driver do not print correctly unless Interline Spacing is selected. Otherwise the report prints on the same line over and over again, i.e. not advancing lines. Anyway to change this behaviour so we don^t have to redo every report?____Thanks,__Randal Ferguson

Since it is really the behavior of the driver and not R&R, I am not sure that there is any good solution.____Kathleen__R&R Support

FYI We encounter similar sorts of problems whenever we use our dot matrix printer (generic driver or otherwise).____Our laser printers all work fine.

Kathleen,____>Since it is really the behavior of the driver and not R&R, I __>am not sure that there is any good solution. __>__>Kathleen __>R&R Support ____I think it is more specifically the behavior of R&R WITH the printer driver as all other Windows programs work correctly.____Randal Ferguson____
