8.1 XP Runtime error

Hi,____We^re migrating some old Clipper applications from 98 to XP.__RRwrun 8.1.26 is used with DBF parameters files.____On 98 some reports were sent to LPT2 (for ex to letterhead printer).__We changed the program in order to print to the default printer instead of LPT1, and to let the user choose the printer when it was LPT2 by providing a question mark in the RI_WPORT field.____When the user valid the printer panel without any change it always crashes (asking for sending a report to Microsoft).__When the user change the destination printer or goes to the properties before validating, it^s OK.____Any issue about that ?__

You would need then to use the workaround of always going to the properties button first.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Hard to say to the users they have to do this 50 times a day.____It seems to be better to run rrwrun in Windows 98 compatibility mode. Not perfect but better.

Alternatively you could upgrade to the latest Infinity release to avoid the need to use the properties button each time.____Kathleen__R&R Support
