ODBC driver recommendation

Does anybody have a replacement recommendation for the MS Access driver as provided by MS? I don^t know if there is a better one out there, but I was hoping someone might have some ideas.____The reason i ask is I have an app that uses Access tables through ODBC and large databases cause it to lock frequently. I know the quality of the driver is critical in these cases.____Thanks,
