Office 2007

Post by Joe_(Guest) » Tue Jul 29, 2008 10:10 am

I^m having an issue with a report that we run about once a quarter. We recently upgraded to Office 2007 and now can^t open this report. It opens fine in Office 2003. The error pops up right after opening the exported file stock.xls "This file is not in a recognizable format" I can click ok and try and open it by then going through a text opening wizard. But it displays garbage.__Thanks in advance.

If you alternatively export to a text data csv file you will be able to open the file without a problem in Office 2007.____Kathleen__R&R Support

The data that you are exporting must be on a group header or footer band rather than on a record band. The default value if you make no selection is to use a record band. If one does not exist, you will get the no fields to export on selected band line error.____To fix the problem, go back to the export dialog, select text data comma separated and in the Options tab select the band line that corresponds to the band line where the data is placed in the report.____Kathleen__R&R Support
