Print & Preview unavailable

I just installed the current 12.5, replacing the prior 12.x version on my laptop. The OS is Vista Business.____For every report which is created or opened (e.g., the provided examples), Print and Print Preview are greyed out. Page Setup is enabled as a File menuitem, but nothing appears when Page Setup is selected.____Further, it is impossible to select or move any field or group of fields for CREATED reports. The sample already existing reports allow normal selection and moving of fields.____I have never experienced these symptoms before.____
