Question about multiple fields

Post by Mark_Streeter_(Guest) » Mon Jul 22, 2002 1:18 pm

I have a question about getting certain info to show up on a report I am trying to generate. Let me preface the question with a few details:____1. I am a newbie to The X-Base World (In the process of learning)__2. I am using R&R Report Writer 8.0 (X-Base Edition) on the Windows 98 platform__3. I am using R&R to access and generate reports for information in Dydacomp^s Mail Order Manager database (Based on Microsoft^s Visual Fox Pro for those unfamiliar with it).____My problem is that I am trying to get a report to show me a listing of orders along with item #^s included in that order. My problem comes in that I cannot get more than the first item in every order to show up. I need the information on all items for that respective order. I hope I have given enough info so that someone can offer some assistance, but if not please let me know what else you need to know and I^ll be happy to post it. Thank you in advance for any and all assistance you can give.____-Mark Streeter__

To get a one to many relation, edit your relation and make sure that you select Scan rather than the default of Exact lookup.__But the fields from the related table on a record band line and you should see what you want.______Kathleen__R&R Support
