Total w/ different in RR9 vs RR6

Post by antje » Thu May 08, 2003 10:20 am

I have a report which I converted from RR6 to RR9. I have changed nothing.__This report contains four total fields (sums) in the summary lines. In RR6 all sums are correct but in the RR9 report two fields which I have summed display now a different, higher and incorrect sum. How can that happen?

Is the V9 report Xbase or SQL?__What is the accumulation frequency of the total?__I would probably need to see the report to try to figure out what is happening.____Kathleen__R&R Support

I am using Xbase Edition of RR9.__Data is collected from DOS application/software databases (*.dbf).__The total is Processing "Running" and Accumulation is "Automatic" but I have tried all sorts of variations and combinations on that...____As said the report was created in RR6 and I only converted the rp1 file via RP5 and exploding to *.rrw.__I have done this with a variety of reports and all calculated and total fields continued to display the same results as before except these reports containing these 2 total fields...__It seems that results are multiplied for whatever reason... I am at a total loss and completely puzzled as I cant figure out out why this is happening and both report use the same database source.____If you would like me to supply you with a sample of an RR6 report (rp1 file) and the converted *.rrw file, please advise where to send them to...__Would appreciate any help or suggestion which could resolve this issue.____Thanks in advance and best regards____Antje
