eliminate blanks at end text export

I have long used R&R xbase to generate text file exports for uploading to a mainframe for batch processing. The reports contain either single or multiple body lines and usually a summary line with hash totals. In DOS version of R&R I could set top margin to 0 and page length to 1 line and not eject final page to produce a simple ascii text file for uploading.____Now I am using Windows R&R v 8.1.026. I have created the same type of reports with multiple body band lines and a summary band. I use export to text with the options of DOS character set and carriage return after every line. The report looks good but I get a bunch of blank lines at the bottom as if R&R were trying to fill out a page to eject it. If a change option to carriage return after every band, I don^t get the blank lines but the multiple body lines just run on since there is to carriage return/line feed.____Any ideas on how to export to achieve desired results. In DOS version it seemed so simple. I^ve even tried playing around with changing the printer to custom to no avail.____Thank you for any help.__

The only way around this is to run the report under Win98 and then set up a generic printer in the control panel/printers.__In R&R you can then set the page length in File Page Setup to continuous/no page breaks and set the top/bottom margins to 0.__In any other operating system however, this method does not work.__So I hope that you are a Win98 user.______Kathleen__R&R Support
