In this case the RI_copies is a numeric field in the control file. So the only way I could get this to work would be to change that field to a character?

You cannot change its data type and have it function.__You would need to create a text control file rather than a DBF control file or create a separately named char field whose value would be the same as the RI_COPIES field.____Kathleen__R&R Support
