RI_WPORT in Text control File

Post by Robin_(Guest) » Wed Jun 14, 2006 5:06 am

Hello____I defined a printer (in cmd) with__"net use LPT3 \serverHPLaserJ"____Then I tried to generate the report with a text-control-file:__RI_REPORT=Spezialbestellungen.RRW__RI_PRINTER=D__RI_WPORT=LPT3:____But when I would print this report, it takes an other printer instead of the "\serverHPLaserJ"____Why doesn^t it take the defined printer "\serverHPLaserJ"?____Thanks for every hint!!____Robin

The value that is set in RI_WPTR needs to be an exact match to a printer name as it is displayed in the installed Printers folder in the O/S.____You can also set RI_WPTR to DEFAULT to do to the default printer.____The error message means that what is set in RI_WPTR or RI_WPORT does not match any defined printer.____Kathleen__R&R Support
