I need to know if there is a way to select the printer to use when i select the print botton in the preview window. The program uses the default printer but i can^t think that the option I am searching is not present.____If it is not included in this version it will be available in next versions ?____Thanks____

You need to select the printer via File Print before you go to the preview window.____Kathleen__R&R Support

If you are using runtime, how do you make the selection to a different printer from the default, i.e. from time to time I would like to print to the Acrobat pdf format, but it always goes to the printer saved with the report not even the default printer.____thanks____Dan

Runtime will by default try to use the printer saved with the report. If it cannot be found, then it will go to the current default printer.____The field RI_WPTR in the runtime control file can be used to change this behaviour. If you set RI_WPTR to the word DEFAULT, the output will go the the default printer. Setting RI_WPTR to a ? gives the runtime user a dialog box to manually select a printer.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Yes, but i don^t uderstand why when i select the print button in the preview window the programm doesn^t ask me the printer to use. If i use "?" i have to select the printer before the preview window is opened and this is against the normal way to work. Every program (look at Ms Office) let the user to select the printer only if I decide to print not to see my report.____At the momento i have to ask the user the printer before open the preview window but i hope in a new sp or version of the program the option i asked is will be present. I think this is not a big problem for your developers.____Thanks____Mike
