RunTIme Error
Hi Catherine,____A user (Windows XP, Tablet PC Version) is using our application that uses Version 11 of R&R^s runtime. When she runs a report that does NOT have a master table, it prints fine. When she accesses a report that uses data from our Access data file (using ODBC) she gets a Windows error, followed by this:____The instruction at "0x755c7f4a" referenced memory at "0x4554585d". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program. ____(The error window^s title bar references the report being printed followed by RSWRUN.exe - Application Error.)____She is able to get to the data through our VB6 application, so the database appears to be in OK shape.____Any ideas?____Thanks,__~Alan

What happens if the user double click executes RSWRUN.EXE and manually selects the report?____Also try adding the line PDFDRIVER=0 to the DEFAULTS section of the file c:windowsRSW.INI and see if that helps.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Thanks, Catherine. I will have the clients try this. Will this affect us having the PDF "printer" as an output option in the application (which we do)?____Also, any idea why this would affect a couple of people but not most?

Hi Catherine,____The client is pressing for an answer on this. Can you please let me know what that would do, if anyting to the PDF driver, which we do give our users the option of using in the application and why this would affect one user but not another?____Thanks!
====> RE: RunTIme Error
It could be a permissions problem that causes the PDF driver to not be correctly initialized. But first we need to remove the driver to see if it is indeed causing the problem.____Kathleen__R&R Support

=====> RE: RunTIme Error
Hi Kathleen,____The user already had the pdfdriver=0 line in the rsw.ini file.____Running the rswrun.exe directly causes the rswrun program to exit as soon as the report is double-clicked on. (Regardless of the report that is chosen.)____When trying to run a report from our application, the user (who is running a Tablet PC version of Windows if that makes a difference) also gets a message from Windows saying that "R&R Report Viewer, SQL Edition has encountered a problem and needs to close." It asks if the user wants to send a report of the error to Microsoft. The "instruction at ^0x755c7f4a^ referenced memory at ^0x455485d^." error then shows up.____Any further ideas?____Thanks!

Are you doubleclicking the report file or doubleclicking rswrun.exe and then manually selecting the report?____Kathleen__R&R Support

The user is double-clicking on the rswrun.exe and manually selecting the report (as well as trying to run the reports from within our application). Both give her the error above.____She has done the pdfdriver=0 in rsw.ini to no avail. She also already had tamper protection turned off in her NAV 10.0.____Any ideas?____Thanks!

I would try a re-install.____Kathleen__R&R Support

The user just wiped their hard drive, reinstalled Windows, and reinstalled our application. She reports these two errors when running a report from our application:____1. A Microsoft error saying that "R&R Report Viewer, SQL Edition has encountered a problem and needs to close..."____2. An Application error, referencing the RSWRUN.exe file, saying "The instruction at ^0x755c7f4a^ referenced memory at ^0x4554585d^. The memory could not be ^read^."____Help! Thanks!
