General print spooler error

Post by DaSe » Wed Dec 13, 2006 9:17 am

We use the runtime of R&R v10.0 (10.0.012) in our applications. __In one of our applications we have a report that exist of a page full of (graphical) boxes with the data in them (The layout can not be changed because it is precribed by an official authority).____One of our customers replaced his Windows 2000-computers by computers with XP.__Since then they get a message "General print spooler error" when you run the report. They get this error every time after 28 pages (of 35 pages).____Does anyone have an idea about a solution ?____Is this a problem in the R&R-runtime ? Or Windows XP ? Or the printerdriver ?____Thanks__Danny

Try setting RI_WPTR to DEFAULT in your runtime control file and see if that helps.____Kathleen__R&R Support

We tried to set RI_WPTR to DEFAULT in the control file, but no success.__We tried to set RI_WPTR to ? in the control file, but the same problem.__Also when we put to name of the Windows-printer, we have the same problem.____When we send the report to "R&R PDF Export", it works fine. __We get also the right report on Screen, but when we send it afterwards to the printer by pressing on the "Printer"-button at the left top of the viewer window it goes wrong again.____Any other ideas to solve this problem ?____Thanks
