Printing to Default Windows Printer

Post by jmiskey » Thu Jan 28, 2010 11:10 am

We are using RR version 10, and I modified an existing report for another department to print out. The jon runs from a batch file they click on which calls a control file (dbf) that specifies which reports to run. The problem is, whenever they go to run it, it prints to my default printer, instead of their default printer.____I brought up the RI_PRINTER documentation in the Help Files to see how to tell it to print to the Windows Default printer of the computer it is being run upon, but it doesn^t seem to tell you how to do that. The original setting in this print control file for the RI_PRINTER setting was 1, which doesn^t even appear to be an option (or at least isn^t even mentioned in the documentation).____I searched this forum, and found a post on RR version 11 that talked about leaving the RI_PRINTER value blank, and editing the RRW.INI file under C:WINDOWS to set the argument "Printer=Default". That did not seem to work. It still prints to the printer I edited the report on.____How can I get it to print to the Windows Default printer of the computer that the report is being run from?____Thanks
