R&R and Excel 2007

Post by Tony_(Guest) » Fri Feb 23, 2007 12:54 pm

Hi,____I have just upgraded my version of office to 2007. When I attempt to export to a worksheet Excel 07 now displays the message_____This file is not in a recognisable format_____The resulting spreadsheet looks like the file was opened in notepad.____The old 2003 version of Excel opened this without error. Is there an issue with this or does anyone know what I need to do to get these reports working again?____Regards____Tony__Warwick International Computing Systems

Microsoft deprecated support for old style WKS files in Excel 2007. The XLS created by R&R is really a WKS file which is why Excel 2007 refuses to open it.____Kathleen__R&R Support

I cannot open R&R from our company. I can open it from the Demo Company.____Cougar tech support couldn^t help, any suggestions?____Thanks__Dot

If you want to open the XLS in Excel 2000, you would first open Excel and then use File Open to select the XLS. If you double click the file, it will be sent to the app that is associated by Windows with that extension.____What do you mean by I cannot open R&R from our company. If you can describe what you are doing and the error that you are getting, I can probably figure out how to correct things.____Kathleen__R&R Support____

Hi All,____The only workaround we have found is to export the file as a .DBF format. Right mouse click on the file and open with Excel. Then save it as an excel file.____Regards,__Garth
