R&R Ver 12.1.x

Post by radhak » Wed Sep 05, 2007 5:46 am

Kathleen,____I have a T60 and has the following applications:____Office 2007, XP service Pack2, MS Visual Foxpro V9 service pack2 and have installed R&R Infinity 12.1.x.____When ever I try to run Rapidrun and create a set it will either give me the ever confusing memory error or lately it has started giving me the following error message:____I have a R&R report which creates another Xbase file and then I use this file to run a report. I wanted to combine these two reports together so that on one go, I could create and generate the report using the rapid runner. I first add this report to the rapid runner set And when I click to indicate the report destination it displays____ "Automation Error. The object invoked has disconnected from it^s clients"____Then the entire app freezes and am unable to do anything but to go towards task manager and kill the process. Then if I try and run it again I get this ever confusing memeory error.____Could you please tell me where I am going wrong and what is the fix for this.____This has been driving me crazy for the last couple of days.____Your immediate response is much appreciated.__

RapidRunner is a VB 6 application. It does use several OCX controls and it interfaces to the R&R runtime OCX, DLL and runtime executables.____I can run it without error on a machine that is similar to your configuration and I don^t see these errors. If fyou want send me an email and we can compare file versions.____Were you ok on this machine prior to the install of V12 of R&R? We made no changes in RapidRunner going from V11 to V12.______Kathleen__R&R Support__livesupport@livewarepub.com

Kathleen,____The difference between earlier and the present machine is that the OS was re-installed as it was giving me issues while shutting down and sporadic blue screens. ____I re-installed the XP SP2 with only the necessary IBM drivers and it works fine (as a matter of fact faster than before). The only thing I did in the previous install was to first install Visual Studio as I did not have the Visual Fox pro V9. Subsequently I un-installed the visual Studio and installed the VFP V9. Then I installed the Infinity.____Could it be that when I installed Visual Studio, there were files installed (dll, ocx etc) which was required by Infinity and made this Rapid runner more stable?____Should I try that out?__
