Slow Response

Post by Randal_(Guest) » Thu Apr 17, 2008 1:25 pm

__I recently upgraded a number of our users from Version 8.1 to Version 11.1.11.0 of the runtime. Users in network environments are reporting a much slower response time. These users only have the runtime files.____I have seen various posts about adding PDFDriver=0 or something similar to the rrw.ini file but we do not distribute an rrw.ini file with our application. Is there anything we can do to speed up response time? Should we be distributing an rrw.ini file or does it matter that the workstation does not have an rrw.ini file? Any other suggestions?____Thanks,__Randal

If CDINTF.DLL is on the user^s machine, then the INI setting is needed to prevent R&R from trying to load the PDF printer driver.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Could it be placed in the network directory with all the other runtime files? What/When are other times when the RRW.Ini file should be placed in the network runtime directory? How would we know that a user had this particular file on their machine?

You can put the INI in the same folder as the runtime executable.____Kathleen__R&R Support
