Cannot Create PDFs

We have been using R&R v10 with Adobe 4.0 to create our reports in PDF. Recently we upgraded to Adobe 8.0 and found that the PDFs were not being created anymore. We use a DBF as a control parameter file for report generation. The RI_WPTR has the value "Adobe PDF" and the RI_OUTFILE = y: eportsAARO0918_ACCOUNT_STATUS __On the older configuration it would generate AARO0918_ACCOUNT_STATUS.PDF and a 0 byte file AARO0918_ACCOUNT_STATUS__but in the newer it creates only AARO0918_ACCOUNT_STATUS and it is not 0 bytes but seems like it is a PS (Postscript) file. If I had an extension manually and then double click on it, it does get converted using the Adobe Distiller.__Any help would be appreciated.__Thanks__Mohinder

You would be a lot better downloading a PDF Print driver from www.pdf995.com and best of all it^s free to use with some minor advertising or a license costs ONLY $9.95. Then in your R & R you point to the Printer "PDF995" instead of "Adobe PDF" amd you won^t have issues going forward.__Cheers__Mark__

You are better off using a freeware PDF print driver like PDF995 (www.pdf995.com). You can pay a nominal amount ($9.95) to have a licensed copy with no advertising albeit the advertising is minor in the Freeware version.____Once you install the product, you change your RI_WPTR which has the value "Adobe PDF" to "PDF995" or whatever the ^Printer^ is called in your START/PRINTERS folder and you are ^on your way^ to problem free PDF creation.____Regards__Mark__
