Report Dictionary on a network
Report Dictionary on a network
IT Services____I am using RRW8.1 installed on my local drive and RRW8.0 on our network/server. Currently users are accessing the runtime from the network/server via a batch file using a control dbf. I created a report dictionary, stored in the same directory as the data files, so users will see a more descriptive field name when modifying the query. However, I could not locate information on how to direct runtime which is on the network to access the report dictionary for the users (i.e., command line switch, control table field, rrw.ini); but I was able to just modify the rrw.ini file on my local drive and view the report dictionary fields successfully.____How would I do this on the network/server?

It will always be the local RRW.INI that controls the current dictionary whether R&R is run locally or on the server.____>__Kathleen__R&R Support

Can we store a rrw.ini file with each application then through the batch file when the runtime is called then indicate where the rrw.ini file is located?

We will read the RRW.INI from the RRWRUN.EXE first and then from C:windows second.__No way to specify any other location.____Kathleen__R&R Support
