R&R SQL V9.0 shuts down

I am currently running R&R Report Writer SQL Edition Version 9.0.__I installed the software on my hard drive and I connect it to an Access database (Access 97) using an ODBC.__When I try to run a report, the software shuts down. I cannot run anything.__ __I also have Arpeggio installed on the same machine.__I did see that problem once with Arpeggio and I discovered that I was supposed to run the MDAC component 2.1__ __Is there anything that I am supposed to upgrade (ODBC, MDAC, etc.) to avoid this problem with R&R 9.0 ?__Please help. Thank you. :)__

I am running Windows NT 4.0 SP 6__Ok here is what I discovered this morning :____I have a numeric field on my report.__If I remove this numberic field, the reports works fine.__If I leave this numeric field, then R&R shuts down.____I put a different numeric field and it works. It seems to be specific to one field. I am not sure why yet. Any idea what could be the problem ? ____I tried that on 2 different machines, same result.__The second machine does not have ARPEGGIO and never had.____Thanks.

Try placing the field on the layout and then adjust its numeric format and see if that helps.__It could be that R&R has saved some bizarre value for the current format. I have seen this happen on rare occasions.______Kathleen__R&R Support

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Feb-07-02 AT 04:00 PM (EST)]no that did not help. Keeps on shutting down...__Actually, I now removed the faulty field and created a COUNT on a different field... same problem !
