only draft printing on X83 ??
only draft printing on X83 ??
When I print an R&R report on my Lexmark X83, I get a draft printout regardless, even when I set the print quality on "photo" or "max photo". I use a Dell with Win 2000 Professional. My other applications such as Excel, Word, Wordperfect, etc. will print the higher print quality so it must be related to my R&R ver. 8.1 software. __A side note here is that text printed in color seems to print at the higher quality, but not the black print. My black print cartridge is not low as I just printed a word doc. at the photo setting. Also, sending the R&R print job to the network laser results in a good "normal quality" printout, much better than the X83 printout. Any ideas why????__Thanks,__Warren

Are you selecting the print quality from the windows printer menu or are you setting in within the printer properties in R&R?__Trying the former might work.____Kathleen__R&R Support

I^m using the windows printer dialog box (from: File, Print,...), and cannot get it to print any higher quality than draft, no matter what setting I select: normal, photo, or max photo. All other application software works ok.__Warren Meyer

Trying using Control Panel Printers and set the property outside of R&R and see if that works.____Kathleen__R&R Support
====> RE: only draft printing on X83 ??
I tried that and no matter what I set printer "Properties" to, it prints the "normal" print, not "photo" or "max photo" like other software applications. __Even pressing the "Photo" button on the printer panel has no effect on the printout. This is weird as every other software will print at the higher quality except R&R 8.1.__A side question: How do I print negative numbers in red???__Thanks
=====> RE: only draft printing on X83 ??
To print only negatives in red, you need to create two calculated fields.__The first will be:__iif(numfield<0,numfield,0)__Place this field on report, format to blank 0 and set its color to red.__The second field will be:__iif(numfield<0,n,0,numfield)__Place this field on report directly on top of the first field and format to blank 0____So when the report prints, you will either get fieldA or fieldB____Kathleen__R&R Support
