R&R Problems with Runtime

Post by Michele » Sat May 04, 2002 4:31 am

I begin to think that R&R has too much problems that have not a defined cause. In my application i have some reports and on two or three of them and on Win2000 or WinXP pc i have problems with error message like this "RRWRUN.EXE has generated an error and ......". Sometime seems to be the printer, sometimes if I install all the Report Designer tool and not only the runtime files (i have listed the files i distribute and the support has told me that they are correct) all run ok, sometime i don^t know what to do. I think that RR is not very stable and i like to know if i am the only one that have these problems and these doubts.____All ideas are accepted...someone can tell me his opinion ???____Thanks__

Most problems that are O/S dependent seem to be related to printer driver issues.__The first thing to try in these situation is renaming the CDINTF.DLL that is in the R&R program directory. This disables the R&R PDF printer driver.____If you can give me more specific information on the printers you are using under 2000 and XP that would help us in finding a solution.____Kathleen__R&R Support

I have not CDINTF.DLL File in my app folder. The printer where i have one of the problems is a CANON BJC20. In this case even if i install a new printer (not of the same type of the first one) the problem is not resolved.
