AUTO TOTALS AUTOMATICALLY INSERTED ON GROUP AND SUMMARY LINES

CAN GROUP AND SUMMARY TOTALS AUTOMATICALLY BE INSERTED WHEN GROUP AND SUMMARY LINES ARE CREATED AS IN CRYSTAL REPORTS - THIS WOULD BE A REAL TIME SAVER - IT SHOULD DEFAULT TO THE SUM FIELD AND THEN COULD BE EDITED.

In R&R it happens in reverse order.__If you select a field and then use Calculations Auto Total, you can select the reset level for the total and it will automatically be placed on a corresponding band line, ie a group reset will be placed on a group footer band.____Kathleen__R&R Support

This is an area where I prefer the way R&R does it now. ____The auto total feature is so quick and easy to use now that I would end up deleting as many totals as I now easily add, and then purging them from the unused fields list. ____A better feature for me ( I may be stretching things here, but Excel kinda does something similar I like ), would be an auto total where I get to pick the first 3 to 6 alpha digits to increment from as opposed to the less meaningfull total001, total002, ect ect which now happens. Yeah, I know its easy to quickly change the name field but this is the idea section. ____How about if I wanted to auto total and then get asked, "Insert 1 to 6 digit Incremental Alpha Field name preference or press enter to automatically assign". After entering in "Taxes", the auto total field names created for my 12 fields are "Taxes01, Taxes02, Taxes03, Taxes04 . . . . ____Yeah, I know it^s pie in the sky but would be kinda neat. ____**********__Mike Henry
