Exporting to Excel as XLS
When we export to CSV the fields are correct. But if we export to XLS then the character fields are truncated to 39 characters? We set printername=CSV for CSV files and printername=W for XLS. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can answer my own question. When you export to CSV the field size in the report is irrelevant. But XLS behaves like a displayed report and therefore you have to specify an appropriately large field size__

I^ve noticed this within Excel as well. If you still have Excel 2003, and can create your own DBFs, you need to make the columns wide enough to display all the data, otherwise Excel uses some sort of algorithm to determine how wide the field is intended to be and you might wind up with truncation.
