V10 Crashing and unstabble

Post by Ashley_Raines_(Guest) » Mon Nov 04, 2002 11:35 am

We recently purchase RW V10.0, whenever we close the program we get a GPF. We get random GPF^s as well. Any Ideas?____We are running it on a Windows 2000 SP3 PC, against SQl databses!!

In your c:winnt sw.ini file add the line:__PDFDriver=0__in the Defaults section and see if it cures at least the crash on exit.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Thanks that sorted that problem, but here are a few more issues we are having.____1.When you print preview with large amounts of data the program G.P.F^s____2.When you report against a large database the program G.P.F^s, small databases the program works fine.____

I have had similar problems of crashing while running V10 report saved with V9. The problem went away if report saved in V10. Is this your experience?____Dan

Can you quantify how big the data needs to be to start causing a problem? I want to make sure that I run a suitable test case here to see if I can reproduce what you are seeing.____I know that large reports with lots of graphs can cause problems but large data sets in and of themselves should not be problematic across the board (or so has been the case in the past..)____Kathleen__R&R Support
