Collating Seq General .CDX Files

Post by MST_(Guest) » Mon Feb 03, 2003 10:39 am

Is it possible to use a Visual Foxpro ^.CDX^ File with an__index on the collating sequence ^General^ for a relation in R&R ?____I have tested this Problem in R&R Version 8.0 and the result__was that the relation did not work. After switching the Index back to collating sequence ^Machine^ everything worked pretty fine again.____So my question is, if there is a solution to make R&R 8.0 handle this problem or maybe R&R 10.0 is able to work with ^General^ Indexes.____

You can edit the file RRW.SRT that is in the R&R program directory to change collation behavior in both Version 8 and Version 10.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Thank you very much for your advice. __But my problem is still not solved.____I have tried different combinations of settings in my RRW.SRT.__I changed the INDEXCASE to Combined, DBCHARS to ANSI, INDEXCOMP to WINDOWS, even tested a bit with the INDEXSRT = USESRT.__But all my efforts did have no effect to make my Relation work again.__I am sure that R&R used the RRW.SRT I have been editing because I could see__a change in my _Umlaute_ characters when changing the DBCHARS to ANSI.__What else can I do? Or what are the correct settings to use ? __
